I read the article because it is a SIGNIFICANT event related to a major musician. For that reason, it is real news. The mundane dailies about the social lives of such stars are worthless nonsense.

Do you live vicariously through celebrities? Do you love hearing the gory details of the wild parties and disastrous relationships, and relaying all the juicy gossip?

Also, the video of an ambulance taking Spears to the hospital today is pure voyeurism. Unless something SIGNIFICANT happened on the way to the hospital, it is only for people who love to revel in the humiliation of others.
